General Summary:
Responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering & prioritizing product & customer requirements, defining and driving the product vision and roadmap, and executing product initiatives. Works closely w/ engineering, sales, marketing, & support to ensure revenue & customer satisfaction goals are met.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Define the product strategy and roadmap, translating them into prioritized user stories/epics
· Own the product portfolio and backlog with prioritized features and corresponding justification
· Work closely with key stakeholders within the organization to maintain a coordinated product roadmap
· Effectively communicate product strategy, status and vision, both internally and externally
· Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
· Run alpha and beta programs toward general availability release
· Work with marketing on collateral and other content development (presentation decks, web pages, self-guided demos, etc.), as well as demand-generation activities
· Perform business analysis role, developing a variety of models, diagrams, and documentation including system context models, data flow diagrams, and use case diagrams
· Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent four-year degree program or possess an equivalent combination of applicable education, training, and industry-related work experience. In addition to the core educational requirement, an MBA is highly desired.
Experience
· Successful launch of product or service to a public marketplace; ideally 5-7 (3-5 minimum) years of experience in a product owner/manager role
· Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum
· Background in product development and/or product/program delivery

· Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical project team members

· Ability to take complete ownership of assigned product
· Good understanding of software integration and usability best practices
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers
· Ability to define problems, assemble and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations
· Ability to work independently and as a team member
· Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to provide continuity in all major application solution decisions
