Ryder Systems Inc has an immediate need for a part-time* Transportation Quality Inspector with a mechanical background highly preferred, particularly working on commercial Class A vehicles. This position will entail making sure vehicles on Ryder property are “road ready” and will be checking for leaks, visual inspections, and minor mechanical malfunctions. Will make recommendations and complete minor repairs on Ryder’s used vehicles. Will record findings and data in a variety of Ryder systems. In addition will check in vehicles and inspect all vehicles as they come into inventory and report findings and any issues to the Vehicle Sales Manager.
A HS Diploma/GED is a requirement along with 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications, along with basic computer skills. Must be customer focused, able to work in an outside environment, work flexible hours which will be Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*Part-time will average up to 30 hours per week.
