Direct Support Professional/Caregiver -  Bethesda Lutheran Communities - Kent and Renton, WA

Home Care Aid Certification training is provided Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.  New employees receive an extensive 2 week mandatory paid training. Successful candidates will also have computer experience and possess good oral and written communication skills.  Candidates with intermediate English language proficiency are encourage to apply. DUTIES TO INCLUDE Participating in community activities and outings Cooking Shopping Positive Behavior Supports Medication administration Personal hygiene Bathing Changing clothes Transfers and lifts (if needed) Household duties (cleaning, laundry) Some programs may require an ability to work with people with challenging behaviors and implementing a behavioral support plan. JOB REQUIREMENTS 18 years old or older, eligible to work in the United States Valid driver's license High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience is preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Must pass pre-employment drug screen background check, and DMV driving record check *Bethesda is a drug free workplace* PAY AND BENEFITS Starting pay: $10.37-$11.00/hr. D.O.E.
