The Vendor Specialist role at zulily is very dynamic. It works collaboratively with our Vendors and internal partners (Merchandising, Accounting, Warehousing, and Operations) to manage the Purchase Order process and problem solve any exceptions along the way. They build relationships with our Vendors so that we can ensure our customer gets the amazing products, at an amazing price, and as quickly as possible. This role involves a heavy amount of electronic and telephonic communication, so communication skills are key. Also, the Vendor Specialist tracks various reports on a regular basis and must be proficient in platforms such as an ERP, IMS, WMS, CRM, or similar, system. They use Excel DAILY, and must be comfortable in creating pivot tables and using V- or H- lookups on the fly. This role might be ideal for someone who has at least a couple of years in a similar role within a fast-paced, corporate office setting.
