Viri Technology is hiring Buildout Service Engineers, and Service Engineer-Service Task Engineers - 8 positions open!! $35-$50 per hour

Viri Technology is recruiting for these two positions. They have 8 to fill!!

6 month to 1 year contracts with the potential of hire @ $35-50 per hour

 

BUILDOUT SERVICE ENGINEER            
This role is focused on addressing infrastructure build out issues in a methodical, structured, and pro-active manner.  A can-do attitude blended together with the ability to deliver result consistently in a collaborative manner is required without requiring supervision or motivation. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with buildout team, carriers, vendors, datacenter teams, integrators and other departments to deploy cloud infrastructure in a standardize and consistent manner
  • Research information to proactively identify potential sources of problems and use this information to proactively address these issues to ensure that buildout schedules and timelines are met consistently
  • Identify and resolve problems affecting the customer delivery and to escalate in a timely manner.
  • Working with teams across multiple time zones, work schedules and countries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Good technical knowledge on Windows / Linux / VMware vSphere platforms in large clustered/high availability environment

Good networking and load balancer skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Good understanding of enterprise/service provider infrastructure and large scale environments

Good technical knowledge of datacenter design and infrastructure implementation

Scripting skills in PowerShell/Python/Ruby/shell for task automation

Self Starter with proven record of overcoming technical obstacles

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required

 

Other Required Experience/Skills:

  • Proven self-starter with desire to foster a sense of urgency when addressing customer tasks, coupled with a strong command of business and technical abilities
  • Data driven with history of using data to drive decisions and solutions
  • Prior experience with a 24x7, high-availability, broadly distributed production environments
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • 2+ years direct hands on experience working in a customer facing technical support role
  • Ability to effectively present information to management, clients, advisory boards and employees

SERVICE ENGINEER – SERVICE TASK ENGINEER         
This role is focused on addressing customer requests in a methodical, structured, and pro-active manner.  A can-do attitude blended together with the ability to deliver result consistently in a collaborative manner is required without requiring supervision or motivation. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Participate in a rotation to perform customer focused requests

Research information to proactively identify potential sources of problems and use this information to proactively address these issues to ensure that the change that they are performing does not lead to an outage

Identify and resolve problems affecting customer delivery and to escalate in a timely manner.

Configure, install, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and services, resolving outages and documenting designs, process and procedures.

 

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Good technical knowledge on Windows / Linux / VMware vSphere platforms in large clustered/high availability environment

Good networking and load balancer skills; Cisco, Juniper, Citrix / Netscaler preferred

Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory and Windows

Strong troubleshooting skills

Good understanding of enterprise/service provider infrastructure and large scale environments

Scripting skills in PowerShell/Python/Ruby/shell for task automation

Self Starter with proven record of overcoming technical obstacles.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
