Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Able to read and interpret agreements and implement relevant legal provisions.
· Ability to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex legal and financial information.
· Be a self-starter, detail oriented, have strong analytical reasoning, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven track record working with prioritization of multiple and possibly competing demands and work
· Strong fluency of the English language and exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively articulate recommendations through various mediums.
· Thorough understanding of job costing principles and applications.
· Effective leadership and supervisory skills
· Strong knowledge of technical and professional accounting principles (GAAP/ FASB).
· Exceptional computer and operating system skills; high level understanding of MS Suite and various company accounting systems. Advanced skills in enterprise resource planning systems and Microsoft Office Products.
· High degree of confidentiality; ensures and understands need to maintain employee payroll records and company financials in a confidential manner.
Experience
- Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
- C.P.A. or C.M.A. preferred.
- 5+ years experience in the accounting and finance sector.
- 4+ years experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.
- 3+ years in a position equivalent to a controller or higher responsibilities
