Good morning - I am posting this position on behalf of a fellow Greenwood nonprofit. The Bureau of Fearless Ideas (formerly known as 826 Seattle) launched its programs more than a decade ago, in October 2005. BFI believes that the power of words, well-written and well-spoken, can open doors to important opportunities. Our tutoring, writing, and publishing programs prepare young people, ages 6 to 18, for a successful future by developing strong writing skills, championing diverse communication styles, and motivating young people to share their stories. For over 10 years, BFI's innovative programs have shown that when children from different cultures and all walks of life learn to write their stories well, share them publicly, and listen to the stories of others, they will grow into more confident and caring people, better prepared to become productive citizens of a larger world. All programs are free and open to families from any socioeconomic background.
