This is a unique opportunity for a full-time café manager who has a passion for Italian culture. There is an immediate opening for an experienced, creative, and dedicated café manager who is excited to be involved in the opening and management of a new café concept that is unique to Seattle. This position requires experience in all aspects of café management and the position will be located in North Seattle near the Shoreline border.
The essential responsibilities will be to assist in the initial opening of the café and oversee ongoing operations. Demonstrate and promote punctuality and professionalism, develop and implement policies and procedures, hire and train new employees, oversee menu planning and pricing, manage vendors and inventory, establish and oversee café budget, manage shifts and schedule, assure compliance with food and beverage laws and guidelines, and assist in marketing and promotions.
Must have excellent customer service, leadership, management skills with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the food and coffee industry in a supervisory role with a degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience, previous barista training and experience serving artisan espresso drinks, demonstrated knowledge of regional Italian cuisine, wines, and beer, strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, current Washington State Food Handlers Card, Current Washington State Class 12 Alcohol Servers Permit, flexible schedule to work days, evenings and weekends as necessary.
