Valet and Hotel Valet positions are open in Seattle and Bellevue and the shift and salary will vary depending upon the location. The company is hiring for all shifts. Morning shifts are normally from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., evening shift is 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and graveyard positions are also available.
Valets will efficiently and safely park all vehicles in designated area ensuring each vehicle has been locked and keys are secured in valet booth, retrieve all vehicles and announce guest/party name and match claim ticket numbers to ensure delivery of the correct vehicle to each guest, assist with loading of passengers and luggage, monitor and maintain the appearance of front drive and parking areas, inform guests/visitors of parking services and fees, issue claim ticket and direct them to their intended destination, assist physically challenged travelers and other guests with special needs, open and close all vehicle doors for guests/visitors departing the location, inspect the exterior of each incoming vehicle and note any damage on the ticket.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED, must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check, proficient driving skills with the ability to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles, good math skills required to calculate parking charges manually and make change without the use of a calculator. Candidates will be given a math assessment. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of local area and surrounding attractions. Flexible schedule is required to work different shifts if needed, must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 7 hours. Current valid driver’s license and no major violations within a 3 year period such as DUI, speeding over 21 mph and driving without a license. No more than 2 minor violations in a 3 year period such as accident, speeding up to 21 mph and other moving violations.
