Renaissance Tree Care - tree trimmers - will train


Renaissance Tree Care is looking for a qualified individual to become part of our tree care team.  No actual arboricultural experience required.  We will provide training during a probationary period of 60 days.  The position available is full time, approximately 40 hours per week and is paid hourly.  The following are requirements for application.

 

  Must demonstrate physical fitness and flexibility.  The job involves climbing, heavy lifting and endurance.

  Must not be afraid of heights!  Job involves climbing to heights exceeding 25'.

  Must enjoy working out of doors in all weather conditions.

  Must have good communications skills and be a team player. 

  Must have attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

  Must be willing to work in all aspects of the job, including, but not exclusive to tool and vehicle maintenance, ground work and climbing.

  Must have a valid drivers license and provide a current DMV record.

  Must be able to read and write English.

 

We are willing to teach qualified applicants the skills to become a tree climber/arborist. 

These skills include, but are not exclusive to the following.

 

  Working knowledge of knots, ropes and uses of both. 

  Ability to climb trees without use of spurs.

  Utilization of all appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and company safety rules and policies.

  Safe inspection, operation and maintenance of power tools and heavy equipment, such as chainsaws, chippers and trucks. 

  Tree and shrub identification skills.  This will include specific growth habit and care of individual species.

  Proper pruning, removal and rigging techniques.

  Proficiency in all aspects of the scope of work, including ground position, motor and tool maintenance.

 

 

We are a small family owned tree care company that operates in the greater Seattle area.  We offer competitive hourly pay and occasional overtime for this position which is considered full time.  Starting wages are negotiable, based on experience and proficiency.  We provide the basic equipment needed for the job.  Upon completion of a successful probationary period, we will offer benefits.  This includes paid vacation, holidays and medical.  A retirement plan is available with a matching program.
