CASE MANAGER OPENINGS
There
are 3 positions available. One will focus on working with youth public assistance recipients,
one food assistance recipients/BFET
in college manufacturing and diesel training programs, and one will focus on
working with individuals with
disabilities through the WorkSource system.
Pacific

SAMPLE JOB DUTIES:
1.
Helping participants reach
their goals by:
·
Providing support to
participants to help them successfully reach their goals,
·
Providing instruction on job
readiness skills and continually reinforcing the development of the skills
needed for employment and career progression
·
identifying resources to
resolve personal/family issues that may interfere with achieving their goals;
·
Providing counseling on
benefits and accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
2.
Recruit eligible and
interested individuals to participate and help meet enrollment goals
3.
Guide participants through a
career/occupational research process to identify a career pathway or to
identify educational goals;
4.
Maintain contact with other
agencies providing services to participants to ensure that services are
coordinated and to create a team of support for participants;
5.
Establish relationships with
employers to facilitate their involvement with graduates from training programs,
with individuals with disabilities and/or placement in internships;
6.
Provide job search assistance
to participants seeking employment;
7.
Follow up with participants
after employment to encourage job success and continued career development;
8.
Maintain regular progress
notes documenting participant contact and progress/problems for those enrolled
for whom case management services are being provided;
9.
Work as a member of a team at
the college and at Pacific Associates;
10. Other
duties as needed to facilitate the successful training and employment of program participants.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE:
1.
B.A. degree in a human service or education field
2.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
3.
Additional experience may substitute for 2 years with an AA degree;
4.
Preference given to individuals with experience in one or more of the
following:

Comprehensive case management, particularly with youth or individuals
with disabilities;
·
Guiding individuals through a comprehensive career exploration and
assessment process;
·
Employment preparation and job search instruction;
·
Job placement ; or
·
Employment support/retention;
5.
Knowledge of manufacturing
6.
Knowledge of community resources and services
7.
Effective verbal and written communication
8.
Able to travel to various offices and to meetings outside the office
with staff, employers, etc. so must have
a valid drivers license, reliable automobile, good driving record, and
automobile insurance
9.
Windows-based computing skills required
WORKSITE:
The Navigator will work primarily at South Seattle
College. The Youth Case Manager will be
working primarily in the Rainier valley.
The Employment Specialist will be working with participants throughout
the King County WorkSource sites.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
Compensation:
$42,000+ comprehensive benefits package.
