Seasonal Park Maintenance jobs @ $20.40/hr

Seasonal Park Maintenance workers perform a wide variety of tasks such as landscaping, athletic field maintenance, trail building and maintenance, construction and demolition, invasive weed removal, restoration and planting, and working with volunteer groups. We seek candidates who love the outdoors and who want who make a difference in the community and help us steward our public lands for all citizens to enjoy.

~ Ability to work with and provide exceptional customer service to the public and volunteer groups.

~ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

~ Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

~ Basic skill in operating small manual and power hand tools.

~ Ability to bend, kneel, stand, reach, climb, stoop, squat, push, twist.

~ Ability to perform heavy physical labor with weights up to 75 pounds.

~ Ability to walk several miles a day and work on uneven terrain.

~ Experience with landscaping, gardening, athletic field maintenance, or other park maintenance experience highly desired.

~ Construction experience desired for some locations.

~ Demonstrated ability to maintain punctual, reliable and regular attendance.

~ This position is represented by SEIU, Local 925

WORK LOCATIONS: Various parks, facilities, and natural resource areas located throughout King County. Please see Supplemental Questions for available work locations.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may work up to 40 hours/week; various shifts available. Shifts include weekends and possibly evenings. We will hire staff intermittently depending on staffing needs throughout the season which typically runs March-October.

 

 

10 Wastewater Treatment Division Seasonal Helper jobs @ $18.12/hr

~ 1 year of demonstrated experience in the safe operation of hand and power tools

~ 1 year of demonstrated experience in the safe operation of power lawn mowers

~ 1 year of demonstrated experience in the safe operation of hedge trimmers

~ 1 year of demonstrated experience in the safe operation of industrial pressure washers

~ Experience working in landscaping or gardening (highly desired)

~ Forklift certification (highly desired)

~ Pesticide certification (highly desired)

WORK LOCATIONS: 4 positions at South Plant (Renton), 4 positions at Brightwater Plant (Woodinville), 2 positions at West Point Plant (Discovery Park)
