Korean Women's Association is seeking a supervisor that will have general responsibility for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of home care workers (aka Caregivers) and office operations.  The primary goals of the In Home Care Supervisor includes the scheduling of client services in an appropriate and timely manner, orientation and obtaining client authorization of home care services before implementation, and the maintenance of regular contact with clients to insure superior service delivery and response to client needs and desires relative to client home care plan of care (service plan). Must be able to work 40 hours a week and be on-call via company provided cell phone as necessary.

Following are some of the responsibilities:

Supervise home care workers and office staff;

Complete home care worker and office staff evaluations according to agency policy;

Schedule and conduct client orientation according to agency policies and procedures;

Assist in developing, planning and conducting orientation and training programs for home care workers and office staff. Ensures required training documentation is kept current;

Manage and keep current client case files, documenting all information regarding client cases on daily manner as appropriate;

Conduct home visits and telephone contacts to clients according to agency policies and procedures; and

Conduct and report annual client and case management satisfaction surveys.

 

EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid/current driver's license and auto insurance is required;

Satisfactorily pass criminal history and reference checks;

Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Good organizational skills;

Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others;

Ability to maintain confidentiality;

Ability to be flexible and perform work under time pressure;

Ability to work with people of diversity;

Proficient in MS Office Suite, e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

 

Experience in Related Field

1. Two years of supervisory experience.

2.  Prior experience in providing services to the elderly and/or disabled preferred.

Purpose of Position

The Intern will directly assist the Director of HR & Home Care with a wide range of projects related to business management, administration and operations. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills s/he may have acquired in school related to his/her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. The candidate will also have opportunities to network with the programs, finance, and marketing staff.

· Employee benefits management issues related to plan renewal and open enrollment, benefits enrollment and termination, troubleshooting employee benefits issues, and the customer service aspect of benefits oversight;

· Compilation and presentation of data.
