Intermodal Support Services has an immediate need for a full-time Gate Inspector to work at their South Seattle location. This position will perform inspections on trailers, chassis and containers entering or leaving the Terminal or Container Yard facilities through the Intermodal Interchange gates.
Will write estimates for repairs needed, identify and establish responsibility for damages noted, ensure that equipment conforms to accepted safety criteria, create reports, input data and send to appropriate parties via e-mail or fax and perform other duties as assigned.
Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the salary is $12.00 per hour with benefits after 90 days. Candidates must be able to pass drug screen and background check and have the ability to do extensive walking, lift a ladder as needed and the ability to check under Intermodal equipment as needed.
