CRANE OPERATOR POSITION

Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
Position Purpose: To operate the crane to support the metal processing equipment, move, unload, load, and store materials in warehouse while following all safety policies and procedures. This position is very important in making sure that the work flows through the shop at a steady and timely pace.
Major Duties:
1. Operate overhead crane to load or unload railcars, trailers, customer’s vehicles, etc.
2. Keep machine operators supplied with proper steel products, making sure that the material you pull matches the order
3. Pull and fill orders using crane; or by hand for smaller products
4. Keep scrap racks and tubs as neat as possible and empty when full
5. Keep bay organized and ensure that all aisles are debris free and clear of obstructions
6. Keep an eye on part quality while handling and moving material to ensure high customer standards are met
7. Be friendly with will call customers and delivery drivers and ensure that they are aware of and follow our safety guidelines
8. Will operate forklift occasionally, and move trailers around the yard
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Warehouseperson/Crane operator training or prior experience of at least 12 months
- Ability to read and write in English to follow written instructions and record work activities performed
- Math - ability to figure piece counts, set up machinery for proper cuts, etc.

Goal: To assist managing accurate and efficient shipping and receiving procedures
Job description:
· Assures that the correct product is received in the right amounts and in a proper
condition acceptable by our customers
· Completes appropriate paperwork for product shipped and received from trucks,
containers , railcars and the processing lines
· Completes board tags for product shipping to the processing lines
· Coordinates with warehousemen and truck drivers on shipping and receiving ( i.e. explain dock procedures to drivers, etc.)
· Completes tally sheets and manifests when necessary. Add up manifests on ten-key
· Helps coordinate loading with the other warehouse when trucker is loading product from multiple buildings
· Reviews all paperwork for errors before signing carrier out
· Monitors the dock for theft prevention
· Notifies foreman of unauthorized persons on the loading dock (truck drivers waiting to be loaded and lumpers not employed by the company)
· Assists foreman whenever he needs help to obtain information, supplies, etc.
· Maintains professional relationships with other employees and customers
· Stocks supplies at each building
· Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- Good technical skills and good problem solving skills required. Pleasant demeanor required when working with other team members. Ability to read construction plans, tape measures, and use of other hand tools required.
- Wabo welding certification all positions stick or wirefeed is a preferred but not also required.
- Easily adaptive to new direction/plans in schedule due to construction industry demands.
- High school education diploma or higher is preferred but not required.
- Preferred to have previous customer service experience approximately 3-5 years.
- Computer skills must be proficient in windows, excel, outlook.
Other experience that can cause lateral transition for future position of the candidate.
- Sales experience, ability to learn and explain the benefits of our products. Cross selling and cold calling experience is also preferred. Part of this position will be selling quoting the products for the commercial construction industry.
- Inventory control, ability to help assist in keeping accurate inventory with the warehouse. Ability to lift up to 75lbs or more at times may be required.
Maintenance Technician Position

Position Purpose: Performs work in the installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of facilities and electro/mechanical apparatuses, equipment and systems; Performs a variety of skilled duties based on the highest safety, quality standards and best practices in the steel service industry, in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, cement masonry, dry wall or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, repairing or remodeling corporate owned and operated buildings and facilities, to include H.V.A.C. and other mechanical systems.
Major Duties:
1. Assist the maintenance team including cleaning and inspecting overhead cranes.
- Assists as directed in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and automatic temperature control.
- Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment; works from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions. Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim; uses carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
4. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
5. Monitor all work being performed by outside contractors or vendors.
- Monitor and maintain all corporate leased vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma/GED and valid driver license required.
· Preference given to candidates with certification/licenses.
· Crane, plasma cutting and oxy fuel cutting machine maintenance experience preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of machinery, mechanics, plumbing, welding, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Must be able to follow repair manuals, blue prints, diagrams, to make appropriate repairs
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as solo
- Must be able to work at heights (such as overhead cranes)

Must be capable of performing journey-level work in the design, construction, repair and maintenance. The Carpenter is responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work, including cabinetry.
