Everett Community College has an immediate opening for a part time, or could be full time, Career & Employment Specialist for Department of Labor Grant Students.

Essential Functions:
Direct Services to Students
The Career and Employment Specialist will be responsible for providing guidance and support to grant students that helps them with career planning and attainment of internships and/or jobs. This includes:
・ Promote awareness of IT career pathway planning.
・ In concert with the grant director and other grant staff at Bellevue College, identify and promote a strategic student job placement plan.
・ Offer on�campus office hours for individual student check�ins and regular meetings with groups of students and/or employers.
・ Provide a full suite of career development services: career development planning, identification of prospective employers, resume and cover letter development, and creation of a social media presence that attracts employers.
・ In concert with the Bellevue College grant Career Advisors, work with employers to develop internship and job opportunities for students/graduates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience providing career services, especially internship and job search assistance, to college students or adult populations.
Experience in higher education, counseling, or transitional services for adults
Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency with web communication tools and Microsoft Office Suite
・Specific Position Requirements:
Ability to travel in Washington, possibly overnight, infrequently
Ability to travel to out-of-state consortium meetings, infrequently
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for reimbursable local travel
Willingness to work some evenings and early mornings
