C#.NET to Mainframe Engineer needed for high profile conversion project; Downtown Seattle
Viri Technology is seeking a veteran engineer for a long term, contract to hire mainframe to .NET application conversion project. We are seeking someone who has professional expertise with mainframe and .NET application development, and the polish to help a high profile client. This will be a full stack opportunity where you can be the go to person for our client, while building a strong professional reputation for future application enhancements. Plus, the team has a professional yet flexible work environment, which will be opened up once you demonstrate proven success.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software development experience, with a combination of both mainframe and C#.NET expertise. Even if it's been years since you've touched mainframe systems, you can still speak to it enough to convert and app and be their expert.
- 3+ years of contract/consulting expertise. Bottom line, you know what it means to be a "professional" when it comes to building a great rapport, meeting deadlines, and setting proper expectations with a client. The more you earn their trust, the more the opportunities will open up.
- 3+ years of full stack software development experience. You can speak to front, middle and backend development for large scale internal applications, which in this case means software used in the law enforcement / CRM arenas.
- The proven ability to be a "consultant" as a software developer. You are comfortable writing code, architecting systems, working with a large existing code base, and testing your own code for the best results you can deliver. "Not my job" is not in your vocabulary as an engineer! :)
