JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hands of Artistry is looking for an experienced stylist that has achieved a level of success in his/her field and comfortable working in a busy and fun environment. There is an opening for full time and part time stylist to rent a booth and single chair station at our new location in Renton, WA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent customer service skills and work ethic
· Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
· Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
· Strong team player.
· Ability to stand for long periods
· Ability to explain various treatments and services to guests
· Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Dress code is black slacks with a shirt and/or top of your choice and comfortable shoes.
This position requires the following abilities: balancing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, tactile sense, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity.
The employee will be required to operate the following tools: scissors, blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, color products, brushes, combs, curlers, clips, foils, and bleach.
Normal work hours: Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours worked will vary based upon the needs of the Hair Salon. Work conditions include exposure to noise, vibrations, mist, fumes, odors, chemicals, and burns.
Additional requirements of the Hairstylist include:
· Certification of cosmetology school completion and beauty operator's license is required.
· Must be able to show an online portfolio or a portfolio with printed pictures of work.
· Previous hair stylist experience with clientele required.
