The hours are expected to hover around 40 per week. The position does not have a specific end date and may last for several months.

A reliable vehicle, driver’s license and good driving record are required.

Pioneer is open to job seekers with criminal backgrounds.

Hourly pay rate is between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Temporary Carpenter Position for Pioneer Human Services

 

~Work locations will most likely be located between Seattle and Tacoma~

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for completion of residential, commercial and some new construction type projects on time and according to plans. Ensure work meets the building codes. All work should be performed in a professional manner and pride taken in your work to produce a quality product and customer satisfaction. You will need to pass company review as an approved driver, but will not be assigned a company vehicle. Usual shift is 7:30-4:00 with occasional variance.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

·        Possess and carry your own tools to perform work.

·        Work on various types of projects such as residential, commercial, renovation, new commercial buildings, refurbishment, restoration or maintenance.

·        Read plans, specifications and perform work accordingly. Work with different types of lumber, plywood, trim.

·        Install finishing items such as, but not limited to, doors, siding and windows.

·        Build stairs, perform framing, cabinet & counter top installation, etc.

·        Responsible and accountable for security of company equipment.

·        Work well with, and sometimes, lead others.

·        Communicate with the project manager as to progress and problems that may arise.

·        Attend safety meetings and follow all safety requirements and procedures – set an example to others.

·        Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·        High school diploma or equivalent.

·        Five years carpentry experience.

·        Must be detail oriented with strong professional skills.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·        Must be able to lift 65 pounds.

·        Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, and reach out and above shoulders.

·        Must be able to operate power tools.
