Quality Assurance Inspector

Performs receiving inspection activities that include but are not limited to data entry, specification review, comparison of incoming parts to conformance requirements (i.e. Inspection Plans), physical and visual inspection and/or measurement of critical attributes through the use of tools, technology or inspection aids. Quality Assurance Inspector may also help with administration of the calibration system for tracking, pulling and recalibration of the tooling and measurement equipments.

 

Responsibilities

·      Performs electrical or mechanical dimensional inspection on incoming components and assemblies in accordance with documented Inspection Plans and/or Engineering documentation.

·      Verify product and process conformance to requirements through the use of documented inspection methods and processes.

·      Document or record product and process non-conformances in accordance with documented processes.

·      Review and investigate non-conformances in accordance with documented procedures. Maintain traceability of required information through established paper-based or electronic systems.

·      Other inspection related activities as defined by the departmental manager.

·      Administration of the calibration system for tracking, pulling and recalibration of the tooling and measurement equipments.

·      Quality assurance inspector is required to communicate with production workers and work together to develop systems that promote quality.

Qualifications

·      High school diploma or GED.

·      Minimum 2 years in QA role.

·      Highly knowledgeable of blueprint reading and use of measuring tools.

·      Good knowledge and experience with CMM is required.

·      Experience inspecting electronics, mechanical, molded, and cabled assemblies, as well as printed material and labeling.

·      Familiar with Zero Acceptance Number Sampling Plans/ANSI Z1.4 Sampling Plans or equivalent experience,

·      Able to read, comprehend, and ensure compliance to internal standards, drawings, and customers’ requirements;

·      Experience using Excel, Word, Access; Experience handling nonconformances;

Ability to work independently with little supervision; Good team player; Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis
