Relief Operations Superintendent  (06/05/2012) Administration Building, Tacoma, WA  
JOB SUMMARY The Port of Tacoma is seeking a pool of qualified candidates for the positions of Relief Operations Superintendent. These positions will be responsible for the movement of cargo through the Port of Tacoma; for planning and coordinating labor and equipment requirements at marine terminal facilities; for maintaining communications with cargo and ocean carrier customers and their agents, U.S Customs officials, USDA, USCG, Tugboat operations, the Port’s customer service and maintenance departments; for performance of supervisory duties and responsibilities; and for cost analysis and rate development support. These are on-call positions with no guarantee of hours. These positions are not eligible for benefits. The Port of Tacoma is a 24/7 operation and successful candidates must be able to work any shift, including weekends. Hourly rate is $37.00/hr.
