OVERVIEW

The Workforce Development Council (WDC) of Seattle-King County is seeking a Director of Youth Programs.  The Director position is a key colleague on the leadership team.  The Director is responsible for the planning, execution, and measurement of the youth program's strategies, programs, and operations.  The Director has overall strategic and operational responsibility for all youth program areas and will maintain a thorough and hands‐on knowledge of all budgets,

staffing, procurement, projects, goals, and plans. The Director will proactively lead and

execute solutions in a fast paced multi‐service environment and will ensure a high performance, data‐driven, outcomes‐focused culture.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The Director of Youth Programs will provide an analytically-driven problem solving approach to WDC youth initiatives, with the ability to communicate results and make recommendations to board level audiences.  Expertise in writing, tracking, convening, and grant seeking is vital to this role.  The ability to travel to attend meetings and conferences is essential.

 

A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university, major study in business administration, communication, or organizational leadership and ten years of progressive experience in related field is desired.
