AWC will be interviewing for 8 job openings for:
Accessory Installers 2 and 3 - located @ Port of Tacoma
day and night shifts, $11.53/$11.89 per hour to start with wage progression up to $18.84 + union benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental & 401K)
Auto Warehousing Company has been in business since 1962, we are the largest full service auto servicing and processing company in the nation. AWC provides a variety of services for auto manufacturers, including loading and unloading new vehicles onto railcars, installing accessories, body repair, and general vehicle inspection and processing. Our facility in Tacoma is located at the beautiful Port of Tacoma.
ACCESSORY INSTALLER II: Level 2 Pay: $11.89 per hour to start with wage progression up to $18.84
Benefits: we are a Union Shop, great benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental & 401K)
Work shift:
Day shift hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Evening shift: 5:15 pm to 1:45 am. (Extra $0.25/hour shift differential)
Job duties: Conducts pre-delivery inspections (PDI); performs light to medium installations of automotive accessories (may include step bars, keyless remotes and starters, satellite radio, mud guards, navigational system, puddle lights, etc.) on new customer vehicles using hand and power tools. Drives vehicles, follows safety procedures, logs processed work into computer.
ACCESSORY INSTALLER III: Level 3 Pay: $11.53 per hour to start with wage progression up to $17.78

Work Shifts:
Day shift hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Evening shift: 5:15 pm to 1:45 am. (Extra $0.25/hour shift differential)
Job duties: Accessory Installer Level III is responsible for minor installations of various factory accessories such as but not limited to floor mats, booklets, labels, wheel locks, removing Tie Down Bolts and conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections and removing and replacing wrap guard.
PLEASE NOTE: (ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR HIRE)
Ø Candidate must be able to read and write English.
Ø 3 to 4 years Mechanical experience (Professional or Hobbyist) (**Automotive Accessory Installers Only**)
Ø Candidate must have a current valid driver's license & good driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months and no more than 3 in the last 3 years)
Ø Candidate must be able to past driving safety/Rail tests with passing score of 85% or above
Ø Able to drive both standard (stick) and automatic automobile vehicles and past onsite drivers test to access manual (stick shift proficiency)
Ø Able to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions; able to lift 35 to 40 pounds; have good visual and auditory ability
Ø Must be able to pass a post offer physical, drug screen, and background check.
