Requisition Summary
Six Sigma Master Black Belts are change agents for process and product quality improvements. They are responsible for implementing Six Sigma quality methods and tools across our business and supply chain. They manage risk, set direction and lead the way to breakthrough improvements in product and process quality.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
· Apply advanced DFSS tools to improve product and process design throughout the corporation
· Transfer best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams
· Work with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement improvement plans
· Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on project activities, improvements, and savings
· Develop and lead DFSS training classes
· Demonstrate successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality
· Review/critique projects for proper methodology and tool usage
· Expected travel is 30%
Position at PACCAR Inc, Mt. Vernon or Kirkland, WA
Qualifications & Skills
· Expert knowledge and application of Design for Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma toolsets including advanced statistical techniques
· Demonstrated expertise in reliability life analysis, including Weibull, Weibayes, DOE and Crow-AMSAA
· Field and test failure statistical analysis including MTBF, correlation and test target determination
· Experience assisting engineers with the application of reliability methods to development programs
· Proficient with Minitab and MS Office
· Demonstrated track record of achievement
· Proven project management and leadership skills
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
· Demonstrated training skills
· Strong analytical/technical aptitude
· Strong strategic and tactical planning skills
SKILLS DESIRED:
· Proficient with Crystal Ball
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 5+ years’ experience in product design
· 3+ years MBB experience, specializing in DFSS training and application
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
· Master's degree in a technical discipline
· Certified Black Belt
EDUCATION/TRAINING DESIRED:
· ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer
· ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
